Speculation Rises Among BBC Strictly Fans Over 'Cursed' Routine and Dance-Off Selection

Fans of Strictly Come Dancing are convinced show bosses have "chosen" who they want to see in the dance-off after the routines and song choices for Week Eight were unveiled.

Last week, viewers' fears were correct when they pre-empted Adam Thomas' exit due to the dance style he was given in Week Seven.

The Waterloo Road star lost his spot in the competition as Angela Rippon was chosen to retain her place by the judges following the dance-off.

While Rippon has since addressed the "upsetting" ordeal after sparking controversy with her dance-off success, fans are now convinced she'll manage to avoid the dreaded red light in Week Eight.

Instead, they've pinpointed two other members of the Strictly class of 2023 who they feel are more likely to land in the bottom two.

The unfortunate stars this time around are Krishnan Guru-Murthy and Annabel Croft - and it's all down to the dance they've been given for Week Eight.

oth the Channel 4 newsreader and former tennis pro will tackle the Samba, with Guru-Murthy performing to Gipsy Kings' Bamboleo and Croft dancing to Shakira's Whenever, Wherever.

The Samba is notoriously tricky for competitors to pull, with actor Danny Mac and his pro partner Oti Mabuse the only ones to achieve a perfect score for it back in the series 14 final.

Fast-paced, passionate and energetic, Strictly fans feel that by giving Croft and Guru-Murthy the routine they've been set up to fail.

Many of the complaints emerged on Reddit, with u/AngryToast94 saying: "Predicting an Annabelle / Krishnan dance off based off this."
