Young Sheldon Season 7 has officially had its premiere – and things could be looking a little rosier for the Cooper family.
With Sheldon and Mary safely delivered to Germany, the rest of the Coopers are left to fend for themselves in the aftermath of the tornado, with Meemaw completely losing her house.
While fans eagerly wait to see what happens next, when is Young Sheldon Season 7 Episode 2 officially out? Here’s what you need to know.
While the episode, titled ‘A Roulette Wheel and a Piano Playing Dog,’ will initially air live on CBS, it will also be available to watch on Paramount+ the following day.
We already have an official promo clip for the second episode, with the official synopsis reading “Sheldon realizes he is the weakest student in his class; Meemaw looks to expand her gambling business.”

Both the Season 6 finale and Season 7 Episode 1 hinted at Meemaw’s growing gambling empire, which is based behind the laundrette. Thankfully, the tornado didn’t do any damage to her handiwork – in fact, it only seems to have encouraged the residents of Medford more.
Episode 2 has also teased a Star Trek link – a show Sheldon famously loves – by casting Robert Picardo as Sheldon’s new teacher.
One fan spotted it immediately, posting on X/Twitter “Robert Picardo will appear in next week’s episode of Young Sheldon. I haven’t watched a lot of The Big Bang Theory, but I think he is the first actor from Star Trek Voyager who appeared in this franchise. Big Bang Theory is too TOS and TNG centric from what I have seen.”
